About Me

Jill Darban

 Your acupuncture practitioner, Jill Darban, is specifically trained in using acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for treatment of patients with cancer. In addition to certification by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, she has worked in a hospital setting and has earned recognition as a board certified Medical Technologist and Specialist in Hematology from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Her combined knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine add to the integrative approach, facilitating the communication with your oncologist or other health care providers when needed.

 Credentials:

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Central Washington University in 1983
• Board certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Specialist in Hematology in 1992
• Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2007 from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
• Licenced as an acupuncturist by the State of Arizona
• Nationally certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
• Certification in Acupuncture for the Cancer Patient from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
• Trained in the Management of Cancer using Chinese Medicine by Jeffrey Yuen, (renowned internationally to be a Master of Classical Chinese Medicine, Taoism, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology)
• Instructor and clinical supervisor at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental  Medicine
